Why “Two Busted Teeth”?
We all have many defining moments in our lives.
When I was seven, the neighborhood kids set up a bike jump - two cinder blocks and a piece of plywood. Determined to show the older kids that I too could jump my bike, I pulled up as hard as I could and ripped the bike right out from underneath me! I flew through the air, landing on the sidewalk front teeth first. I will never forget looking back seeing two ‘chalk lines’ that my front teeth had made. “Those are his permanent teeth!” I heard my mom declaring to my father later that afternoon.
Launching this website to share my art is another defining moment for me. I think it is fitting to pay homage to that moment, many moons ago, when I stood there looking at the sidewalk. Touch wood, this time without the drama!
Thank you,
Chris
